Reasons for a two-month hiatus

1. The time I would've spent on writing blog posts went toward reading and editing classmates' work.
2. Writing from 11-1am then getting up and preparing lecture notes for class from 5:30-7:00 and teaching all day is taxing.
3. My paranoid brain worries that if I post excerpts from my novel someone might steal it. I know it's silly to think about in our digitally remixed world, but I value my work. I value my work enough to not share it? It's absurd. I don't suffer from creative avarice. New mantra: the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. I can share parts without giving away the whole in order to spark interest from you, dear reader.
4. A friend gave me their Netflix log on.
